INSTRUCTIONAL STAFF

John Fote
pitched on the college level at Quinnipiac
College. He coached at Wethersfield High school
for the past ten years. John led the Eagles to
the first ever Class L State Championship game
in the 2005 season. John coached the District I
team to the Senior District championship in 2002
and was named the coach for the Connecticut vs.
Massachusetts All-Star Game at Fenway Park. John
is the originator of 5-Star Baseball and
conducts lessons in hitting, pitching and
position play. |

Mark Bagdasarian
was a catcher at the University
of Connecticut
(Hartford). He
is the Varsity coach at
Wethersfield High School and former Varsity coach at
Manchester High School. Mark is entering his 8th year
of coaching at the high school
and was an
Assistant coach at the American Legion level.
Mark conducts lessons in catching and hitting.

Tom Loricco
is the head assistant coach at Harvard University and his
responsibilities include recruiting,
field/hitting instructor, and clinic director.
Tom was the former Head Coach at Westfield
State. Tom teaches hitting clinics and is
responsible for Coaching Development clinics.

Joe Serfass
is presently a pitcher in the New York Mets
organization. Joe finished this past season with
the Binghamton Mets (Double A) and posted favorable numbers as a
middle reliever. Joe was the winning pitcher for
Eastern Connecticut State University when the
team won the National Championship in Division
III. He has also been inducted to the Eastern
Connecticut Baseball Hall of Fame since he was
signed by the Mets. Joe conducts pitching
lessons.

Gary Burnham,
a South Windsor (CT) native, is used to a winning
tradition. Gary was a part of the South Windsor
Little League District 8 champs, South Windsor
High School State Champs, High School
All-American, and AA/AAA Team MVP in 02, 06, 07 all
with the Philadelphia Phillies. Gary attended
Clemson University (SC) when the Tigers competed
in the College World Series in ‘97.Gary was
drafted by the Phillies in the 22nd
round of the ’97 Draft and was in the
organization until 2002 when he signed with the
Blue Jays as a minor league free agent. He
re-signed with the Phillies as a minor league
free agent in 2006, where he was promoted to AAA
Scranton Wilkes-Barre. He was named Eastern
League player of the week, player of the month,
and Reading’s all-time homerun king when he hit
his 54th homerun as a Reading Philly
all in the month of August 2006. Gary played
with the Ottawa Lynx (Triple A – International
League) in 2007 and was named Team MVP.

Ace
Adams
has been a pitching coach for 24 years. He
entered pro ball in 1997 with the Montreal Expos
organization, making that move after coaching at
the college level since 1984. His college
credentials were earned at Dartmouth, Harvard,
Brandeis and the University of Michigan.
He worked with Michigan pitchers for seven
seasons before joining the Expos. This
will be his fifth season with
the Boston Red Sox. In 2007, Ace was the Class A
Lowell Spinners pitching coach. He had a
championship run in 2006 with the Portland Sea
Dogs, winners of the Double A Eastern League
playoffs. Adams’ pupils in Portland included Kason Gabbard and Devern Hansack, who both were
promoted to Boston directly from Double A.
Ace spent his first Red Sox season, 2004, with
Augusta in the Class A South Atlantic League.
In 2005, he served on the coaching staff in
Wilmington in the Class A Carolina League. Ace
conducts pitching lessons.

Frank Cippola
played at East Catholic High School
in Manchester, CT for Jim Penders Sr. where he
earned All-State honors in 2000 and 2001. Set
overall school records for batting average,
doubles, hits, and on-base percentage. He was
also selected as the Hartford Courant's Best of
the Best in 2001. In college, he played two seasons at
the University of Connecticut before
transferring to the University of Hartford.
Frank was on the All-American East Academic
team ion 2003. At Hartford was named offensive MVP of his
junior and senior year hitting .333, a .441 OBP,
and leading the team in walks. Frank was named team
captain and MVP his senior year at Hartford. In the summer,
played 3 seasons with the Manchester Silkworms
of the New England Colligate Baseball League.
Frank conducts hitting lessons.

Jeff McAvoy
is Currently
employed full-time by the Houston
Astros as a
Professional
Scout. McAvoy, a former right-handed
pitcher,
played for Bill Masse in 2000 in Cape Fear, a
full-season
A ball affiliate of the Montreal
Expos. Signed as a non-drafted free
agent in
2000 out of the University of Mississippi, McAvoy went on
to play 5 seasons in the Montreal
Expos minor
league system.

Bryan Barnowski,
General Manager at Baseball
City, was an All Western Mass selection Sophomore-Senior year in
High School and was named Gatorade player of the year runner-up
in Massachusetts his senior year. Bryan was selected to play in the
Area Code Games his sophomore and junior years in high
school.
Bryan was drafted by the
Boston Red Sox as a catcher in 1998 and signed
with the Red Sox in 1999. He was in their farm system from
1999-2003. Aside from this, Bryan was listed as one of
Baseball America’s top 30 prospect with the Red Sox.
Bryan then completed his career as a minor leaguer for the
Cincinnati Reds organization in 2004. Bryan conducts lessons in hitting and
catching.

Pat Egan
signed with the
Baltimore Orioles in June 2007 after being drafted twice by
the Orioles in 2005 and 2006. He pitched for the
Bluefield Orioles in West Virginia in the Appalachian
League (Rookie Level). Pat grew up in Rocky Hill playing
multiple sports. In 1997 his little league team lost in the
Ct. State finals. Pat was All State in both basketball and
baseball at Rocky Hill High School where he was named
Connecticut State Basketball player of the year in 2002
after leading Rocky Hill to its only State Championship. He then went onto Quinnipiac University where he was named NEC pitcher of the
year in 2004 leading the league in wins. He led the league
in wins again in 2005 as Quinnipiac University played in its
first ever Division I NCAA tournament. Pat
finished 3rd in career wins at Quinnipiac.
Pat conducts pitching lessons.
