ABOUT BASEBALL CITY

The Baseball City mission is to improve the baseball/softball skills of all players in the Greater Hartford area and statewide throughout Connecticut regardless of age or ability. We will accomplish this by offering high quality private instruction, Billy Ball Instructional group clinics, , 9 spacious hitting/6 pitching tunnels, a member training area, a strength workout area, and the ability to purchase the most recognized names and merchandise in the baseball/softball retail world.

PRIVATE LESSONS & CLINICS
►Baseball Lessons – Baseball City has a teaching staff that is equipped to handle any aspect of baseball from the mechanical part of the game to the mental part. Private one-on-one instruction can accelerate your child’s development and get them ready to battle on the field. Our Bill Masse professional curriculum, drill-work and teaching methods build confidence and relationships that last a lifetime.

►Softball Lessons – Softball players can be assured of only the finest one-on-one instruction. Our instructors follow our pro curriculum as it pertains to hitting, pitching, fielding, base-running and defense. Our instructors have extensive backgrounds at the professional, collegiate and high school levels. Whether it’s the peak season or not, year round softball instruction is available.

►Clinics – Billy Ball instructional clinics are developed by Baseball City’s own Bill Masse. Bill brings a lot to the table as a form professional player and current professional manager. He can educate you on all aspects of the game and give you that competitive edge. Bill has a system for teaching that begins with the basic building blocks all the way to advanced levels and is targeted for boys/girls ages 5-19. Give your child the opportunity to learn from someone who has taught current major league players…maybe yours is the next.

PRACTICE FACILITIES
►Tunnels – A total of 9 batting/6 pitching tunnels are available to our members and non-members on a daily basis. Six (6) 75 foot tunnels designed for hitting or pitching. Cages are 15 feet wide to provide plenty of space. Three (3) short tunnels are ideal for Little League use and private lessons. Each tunnel is equipped with an L-screen for pitching, hitting machines (iron mike, hack attack, atec), portable pitching mounds, training aids (T’s), and real baseballs/softballs. An even better feature is the ability to slide the nets back and rent out the cube or two tunnels at one time to work on a little defense.

►Training & Member Areas – Whether your working on one aspect of your hitting or don’t have enough time to work in the tunnels the training areas are an excellent way to groove your swing. These two areas are 1,500 and 800 square foot area and is where all the work his done before they step into the batters box. Members utilize training aids such as batting tees, stride boards & soft toss catch nets. Members have access to this room and teams can use this area for a fee.

WORKOUT AREA
►Baseball City has up-to-date equipment to get you in great baseball/softball shape. A total conditioning program for all athletes regardless of sport, age or gender is absolutely necessary in order for athletes to reach their athletic goals. Being bigger, faster and stronger is not just jargon anymore…with the rigorous demands placed on these athletes it is critical for athletes to be stronger, flexible and more powerful than ever. In baseball, pitchers and everyday players are being introduced to position specific workouts. With the help of Baseball City and their staff we can bring out the athlete in you. Perhaps its gaining more velocity and throwing 90 or becoming a more explosive hitter, running faster and gaining endurance …you’ll never know unless you become a member and take advantage of our membership benefits or sign up for our fitness clinics.

►Our goal is to be the only place you shop to satisfy all your baseball and softball needs. We offer all national brands including Easton, Louisville, Wilson, Mizuno, Rawlings, All-Star & Mattingly Baseball. We serve walk in customers and provide them with the best information regarding the most reliable and popular products. Try out a bat before you buy it! Have a Baseball City staff member find your son or daughter the right glove! Team sales including equipment and apparel can also be conducted by a Baseball City sales representative. Demo before you buy!!!

PARTIES
►”It’s your birthday?” What would be better than to have a baseball/softball birthday party and play ball with your friends, earn prizes, play games (baseball/video games), hit in the cages and compete against your friends. Baseball City will make your birthday party memorable…kind of like when you went to your first ball game.
